I CARE

The other day my family (my husband, my son, Boobie 11 and my daughter, Cookie 9) went to spend the day with one of my good friends for a Sunday get-together. Let me get right to the point. I am from a town called WHOOP AZZ where kids are to be seen and not heard. I was raised that when grown folks is talking you shat the hail up. I was raised to raise my hand in a room full of adults to get attention enough to be acknowledged. I was raised that you dont sit around grown folks when they talking.
My children are not perfect but I have raised them to stay in their lanes (a childs place). I have raised them to know when the conversation turns to adult talk, you find something to do. My husband and I dont even discuss grown talk in the car. If we just have to we either talk in codes or we turn the stereo up and lean in to one another.  Oh but these kids now a days are smart as hail and they pick up even faster. I try to live my life as standard as possible, providing good examples and teaching my kids the best way to conduct themselves. My kids have been in situations where they knew the kids they were around were about to get it and they couldnt do nothing but shake their own heads.
My husband who is 6'4 about 248 lbs is militant as hail and he aint nobodies Sgt. but his outer is intimidating and he runs a tight ship. Just recently in church they appointed this guy as Sgt of Arms and when I say give a brother a foot he will take a mile...LOL He was live and direct, excited to be in his element, but oh those poor kids. My kids love him to death but the last thing they ever try to do is annoy him or get him going because they know that BOOT CAMP is in full effect.

So while over my friends house all of the adults are socializing, drinking, smoking, doing what adult people that get together do, while all of the children are outside playng ball, chasing each other, laughing and joking, doing things that children do.
Getting back to the subject at hand, one of her friends walk in with her 11 year old son that is at least 5"8 and pretty stocky and (yes I said 11..years old)  and after she introduces him to everyone he proceeds to plop down on the couch engage with playing with her car keys.
So, while were talking the conversation takes a turn down a pretty graphic lane and I get ready to chime in when I hear a very stern "Mom lets go, you said five minutes" coming from this little big ass kid.Girlfriend continues to ignore him and then turns to us and says "He thinks he's my father". With raise eyebrows and the hardest sideye, I turn to look at everyone like am I the only one hearing this shyt and then my thoughts are interrupted with "Mom, I said lets go NOW"
So me knowing myself said to myself, I knoooowwww she hear him, and I knoowwwwwwwww he know she hear him. OH HELL NO! NOT ON DUTY! ..

I turn to this big ass and I say "Hey listen, dont you wanna go downstairs with the rest of the kids or do you usually sit up under your Mama, cus aint no kids up here and I dont believe in mingling with kids so um, yeah, why dont you head downstairs" . I am an adult right, takes a village, I whoop other people kids and they mama too, right!
This fool looks me up and down, rolls his punk ass little eyes and says "NO" and then looks at me like Ima piece of shyt. I politely cock my head to the left and I say "Come again" and I think his mama was about to be picking him up off the ground because she tells him real quick like "Im coming, go the car, Im coming right now" and he proceeds to drage his feet as he  walks out the door.
My friend looks at me nervously, while Im looking at his mama who wont give me eye contact because she is embarrassed as hell and can feel the heat coming off my hand takes a shot and proceeds to run after her son.
Ummm, what is wrong with this picture. Its a wonder why ol' girl has lost job after job behind this lil chucky and why she cant enjoy herself, let alone is super stressed out on meds and disability. Her son is full on controlling her for whatever reason and it may be his resent towards her for kicking his father out the house, hell I dont know. What I do know is that the day my son/daughter feels like they can pull my strings/rank/check me is the day Im going to check out and all HIZZAIL is gonna break loose.
What in the world...so you know I couldnt wait  to tell the Sgt...LOL. Now he is all, yeah we need to have another get together so I can get in that azz...LOL. Ol Sarge has a personal vendetta.

The Bible Says:
"He who spareth the rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him correcteth him betimes" (Proverbs 13:24) and "Withhold not correction from a child: for if thou strike him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and deliver his soul from hell." (Proverbs 23:13-14)

Haha, my sister and I were raised the same way. My boys aren't perfect, either, but they have manners and act like children. Not bragging, just thankful.
